BookRiot #BKR03 and Indie Showcase Update

Hi guys! Valentine’s Day is around the corner and I can’t wait – it’s going to be my first Valentine’s Day as part of a couple! I wanted to take a quick moment before jumping into this post to say that I haven’t forgotten about the Indie Showcase for this month. It’s just going to be a little later due to my busy schedule getting the better of me. It is coming though!

I received my first BookRiot Quarterly box today (I bought an old one at half price so I could see the kind of things that are in it. I should be getting my first proper one sometime in March). It was full of awesome goodies!

There were 3 books:
Please Ignore Vera Dietz – A.S. King
The Killing Moon – N.K. Jemisin
A Rogue by Any Other Name – Sarah MacLean

A pack of trading cards with literary folks for the Ace, Jack, Queen, King cards.

A photocopy of a handwritten note from N.K. Jemisin.

A flowchart from A.S. King on the writing process.

A poster with 10 reasons to read Romance from Sarah MacLean.

A 2 month subscription to Oyster ebooks.

A pouch with a library card design.

A badge with ‘I read YA’ on it.

Overall, I’m really pleased with this little box! I wasn’t sure what to expect from it and I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I’m going to take A Rogue by Any Other Name to my boyfriend’s with me tonight so I can give it a little read on Valentine’s Day tomorrow – Romance novel kind of fits the occasion. I’ll do a quick post tomorrow about it (although it won’t be a review because there’s no way I’ll have time to finish the entire book!).

Has anyone else signed up for BookRiot’s Quarterly boxes? They look amazing and I’m really excited to get my first proper one next month!
