As you may have guessed from some of my other posts, I’ve been having a pretty hectic time of it lately and I wanted to take a moment to update you guys on my plans for April while I’ve got a moment to do so.
April is Camp NaNoWriMo. I’ve participated in every incarnation of NaNoWriMo since I first discovered it in 2007, so obviously I’m going to be taking part next month.
However, I also have three university assignments due in April as well. The first one is due on the 2nd, the second is due on the 13th and the last one is due on the 30th, so I have pretty much got an assignment to focus on at some point for the entire month.
What this means is that I need to scale back on a few things. Obviously, I’m already behind with my review books and I still want to try and catch up with those, but university has to come first.
My priorities right now are university, review books, Camp NaNo. I’m doing two Open University modules in tandem (which, in hindsight, was a terrible idea!) and I’m behind on both of them right now. This week and next week are supposed to be my Easter holidays from the modules, but I’m using that time to catch up.
So, basically, I’m only going to be doing certain posts on here for April and one of them will not be an Indie Showcase. I don’t think I’ll have time to dedicate to it unfortunately. I’ll definitely have one posted in May, but I just don’t see one happening this month.
I do have a couple posts that I’m excited about for April. My review for The Jumbies will finally be posted. I think I wrote that up in January! Also, I’ll be doing a cover reveal for Phoenix Rising, a new YA novel that’s coming out soon from Stripes Publishing.
So yes. Hectic month is hectic, but I’ll still be posting reviews regularly. I hope you guys can understand the lack of other content while I try to settle things down a bit.
*ETA: I’ve only just realised that today is April Fool’s Day. This post is not an April Fool’s (if it was, it’s a very poor one!)*
