Today’s been a long, tiring and strange day for me. The EU Referendum resulted in the UK voting to leave the EU. Like many people I’ve seen, this wasn’t what I wanted. Coming from Scotland, this is not something my country wanted either. Anyway, long story short. I haven’t read much today because I’ve been so immersed in the post-Brexit commentary on social media – even though I did my best to avoid it. I’m very much disappointed in the results, but I’m of the mindset that it’s done now and all we can do is seek to improve the situation we’re currently in.
Now, enough political talk because that’s not what anyone’s here for!

Nevernight by Jay Kristoff (131 of 643 – 43 today)
I didn’t read anything other than Nevernight today, which isn’t even one of my ‘official’ books for the readathon. I’ve mostly spent the day hanging out with an old friend, getting drowned in torrential rain, and then editing my own novel. It’s been a pretty chilled out day considering.
