Another week has come and gone. I’ll admit, I haven’t done nearly as much reading as I would have liked this week. I’ve been pretty wiped out after work and still having the after-effects of migraines/fever. Luckily, I have managed to get some reading done and some posts done, so it’s still been a good week!
None, sadly. I’ve started picking up more books instead of finishing the ones I’m currently reading so none of them are getting finished.

This book is fascinating. I’m seriously intrigued by the events and what’s going to happen. So far it’s just exploration of the sisters and a gradual reveal of their past and recent events. I feel a sense of foreboding that something terrible is just on the next page and I can’t wait to get to it!

I didn’t read much of this one this week – perhaps a chapter? I’ve not been in the mood for straight horror since I’ve been reading such fantastic psychological thrillers lately. I’m hoping to pick this one up again in the coming week though.

I picked this one up ages ago and got about 10% in before I abandoned it in favour of other stories. Considering this is a relatively short book, I decided to pick it up again this week and give it another go. It’s got an interesting concept – where people can plug into ‘nirvana’, the virtual reality world, but Hexagon is controlling everything and there’s no privacy and such anymore. It’s not the most thrilling book I’ve ever read, but I’m enjoying it so far.

As you can probably tell from the amount of pages I’ve read so far, I’m loving this book. It’s such an interesting idea: no more courts or evidence or judges, every citizen has the ability to vote on whether a prisoner is guilty or not (providing they can pay the charges!). There’s such a great pace to this story that I’ve flown through it so far and I’m so excited to see how things turn out. I’m on Cell 6 of 7 so I’m close to the end and although I really want to see how things turn out, this is one of those reads that you just don’t want to end!

This week, I’ve continued my almost-daily update posts for ARCAugust:
And finally, on Friday, I posted my review of Nevernight by Jay Kristoff.
