Week In Review: September 12th to September 18th

I’ve had a crazy busy week this week and I’m actually feeling bone-tired right now. It’s amazing how easily energy can be sapped from you. Nonetheless, let’s see what I’ve been up to this week.

Books Finished

I got this book from the last Illumicrate box and I wasn’t going to read it until I’d read some more of the books sent to me by publishers and authors, but I read the first couple of pages and suddenly I had read the entire book. It was a really interesting read and I did enjoy it, particularly the final 20% or so of the book, it was just a bit of  slow build up.

I love R.S. McCoy’s writing. This book has me completely sucked in and I probably would’ve finished this book this week if I hadn’t had to travel so much. Such an intricate network of small plots that weave together to create the overall story. I’m loving all the different connections between the characters and I’m keen to see how this one ends.

Release Date: August 30th 2016

Currently on page 50 of 229.

I picked this one up the other day because it’s a short book and I think I need a quick read in between all the longer books I’ve been trying to get through lately. This story has dual perspectives – a favourite of mine – and I’m loving the different voices so far. Not much has really happened, it’s just getting to the action now, but I’m keen to see how it all plays out.
