#BookPost | September 19th to September 25th

I’ve been incredibly lucky to receive a lot of books from publishers this month and this week was no different!

I was super intrigued when I got this book in the post from Scholastic. It sounds like a fantastic story but it’s a sequel so I need to get a copy of the first book before I’ll jump into this one. I’ve requested too many sequels without reading the first in the series and it makes it incredibly difficult to review the books.

I didn’t know much about this one, but the cover is gorgeous and I was keen to jump straight in when I got it. It’s a middle grade book and I’ve been really keen to read more great MG fiction lately so was really pleased when Abrams & Chronicle offered to send me a copy of this.

Release Date: August 16th 2016

This is another middle grade book I was quite excited to read when I was offered it. I loved Sheila Grau’s Dr Critchlore book (and I noticed there’s a second one out so I’ll need to grab that!). I was excited to see what she did with this new book, which is a different take on Jack and the Beanstalk.

Release Date: September 13th 2016

The last book I got this week was from Scholastic and I got a freaking amazing pen that’s shaped like a cool wand! I started reading this one the other day and I’m really enjoying it so far. Lots of magic and mystery so far. Can’t wait to continue.

Finally, I got this beauty this week by pure luck. I was out for lunch with my folks yesterday and there was exactly one copy of this sitting on the shelf in Waterstones so naturally, I grabbed it. I couldn’t not! I’ve been waiting for this book for forever it seems and I jumped into it straight away.
