Week In Review: December 5th to December 11th

I’m finally back to my week in review posts. I have missed making these posts just because it’s nice to see my reading progress and what new books I’ve gotten each week. I can’t believe that it’s December and almost the end of 2016 already. It doesn’t feel like the year should be over. Anyway, enough rambling, here’s what my week has looked like.

 Books Finished

I’ve really enjoyed reading this book. It’s about a family with a young daughter struggling with anorexia and bulemia and although it’s heartbreaking to read at parts and see the family slowly falling apart, it’s such a gripping read that I’ve found it really hard to put down.

Release Date: December 1st 2016

This book was a lot of fun to read. The school is fun, the characters were wild, it’s the perfect read for young kids! I’m thrilled that this is the first in a series and I’m really looking forward to picking up the rest of them in the future so I can continue to read about Dani’s adventures at St Grizzle’s!

I’ve technically not started the actual story on this one yet, only the Foreward, but it was an interesting insight into the minds of someone outside the family and what reactions from people were like. I’m really intrigued to read about Sue’s experiences after the Columbine shooting.

I’m not far into this one, but it’s already got some brilliant humour in it and I can’t wait to read more. The illustrations are fantastic and really complement the story. I’m looking forward to seeing how Beaky deals with the school bully when he can’t tell a lie!

I am in love with this book. It’s the stories of five different people who have all been DNA Matched with their soul mate – The One – and what happens as they meet and fall in love. Obviously, this is not a fluffy, happy ever after story and some of the twists so far have been amazing. I can’t wait until I find out how each story ends – I’m hoping for a happy end for at least one of them but I doubt that’ll happen!
