Week In Review: December 12th to December 18th

I managed to get A LOT of reading done this week and think that’s due mostly to the cramathon readathon that’s happening just now. Here’s what I’ve been reading.

Books Finished

This book was quite a difficult read at times – getting into the mind of the mother of one of the Columbine shooters. It was an interesting insight into the aftermath for the families involved and how it can completely destroy their lives. I’m not really sure if she managed to achieve what she kept stating she was writing the book for though.

Beaky Malone and the Worst Ever School Trip

This one was just as amazing as the first book in the series. Poor Beaky really can’t catch a break now that he can only tell the truth. The thing is, when he was lying everyone believed him and now that he tells the truth, no one does! This was an hilarious read.

This book is genius. I devoured it. Following the lives of five different people after they’ve been Matched and the results of said Matches. There was such a variety to their stories and the outcomes that I’m sure you could read each person’s story all the way through without reading the others. It’s like five short stories put together.

Release Date: May 4th 2017

I started this book a while ago and got 59% of the way through and stopped because it was quite slow paced. I wish I had pushed through at the time because the last 40% of this book is amazing. While I enjoyed the beginning and the set up, the conclusion to everything was amazing. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series!

Books Read

Currently on 33%.

I picked this one up for the graphic novel challenge for Cramathon. It’s been too long since I read a One Piece manga triple volume and I’m loving immersing myself into the world again.

Release Date: June 3rd 2014

This story has just got me completely hooked. There’s magic, miracles, Saints and Faeries. It’s not the most fast-paced story and although there have been some big events, not a lot has really happened so I’m excited to see how things all wrap up.
