Happy New Year!

It’s that time of year again! It’s the last day of the year and I can’t wait to tell you how this past year has gone for me.

In case you’re interested, here is my post from January 1st 2016. I thought 2015 was a great year for me, but 2016 has been even better – if not so much for this blog though.

I didn’t manage to read nearly as many books this year as last year, but I did manage 105 – only 84 less! I’m not sure how many of those 105 I have actually reviewed, but I do know that I still need to write up and post 37 so I need to get cracking on those!

My TBR is hovering somewhere around 75 for ARCs and review copies but overall it’s still around 300ish.

I didn’t get a lot of writing done this year. I did start a new middle grade story but I haven’t worked on it much, sadly.

My highlight of 2016 has got to be going to the London Book Fair in April. It was a truly unique experience and I met so many wonderful people there. I’m glad that I got the opportunity to go and if I was given the opportunity again, I’d definitely take it.

I have now gone more than a year without my anxiety medication and this year I went on three trips (two by myself and one with my boyfriend) without incident. It’s truly amazing that I can do things like this now without worrying when I couldn’t even leave my house a few years ago!

Finally, I’d like to take a moment to thank each and every one of my followers here. I am truly humbled that you would take the time to read what I put on the internet. I’m going to post about my 2017 goals in a few days but I want to let you know that I’m going to actually make a proper plan for how I want to blog in the new year and I’m going to actually stick to it! (she says hopefully).

2015 was a good year for me, 2016 was great for me personally (still can’t over how terrible a year it was for celebrities!).

2017 can only get better!

Have a great New Year guys! x
