I’m almost sad to see the end of the readathon coming up, but I’ve had a great boost to my 2017 reading so far and I know that I’ll be doing just as much reading in the weeks to come.
I’m loving this book more with each page that I read. I’m really glad that this was included in the #queer52 list and gave me a reason to pick it up sooner than I probably would have. It was such a beautiful book and I enjoyed the journey.
I fell head over heels for this book, I’m not going to lie. I’ve been really lucky with my reads of 2017 so far because I’m pretty sure they’ve all been 5 stars. I’m waiting for the one that inevitably disappoints me compared to the utter brilliance of the books that have come before it. This book is a journey wrapped in a scavenger hunt and the sweet moment of falling in love.
So, I ended day four on page 185 and the book is 307 pages total, meaning I read the final 122 pages today.
I’m really enjoying reading this one too. I’ve not read a lot of stories that involve witches – and especially not in the famous Salem – but I’ve found this one to be brilliantly written and engaging.
While I didn’t quite get around to finishing this one today as I had hoped, I’m at the crux of the action and things are happening and I know that I’m going to fly through it when I pick it up after work today.
I started this book on page 75 and ended on page 118.
